Special Guest

On Tuesday January 8 we had a beautiful special guest, Virginia Kerr from KMOV channel 4. She gave us really good advice about getting into the anchoring field. She was very helpful. She gave us an introduction about herself where she was from her, first job, how she got into the business and her love life lol. She gave us tips about hair and makeup and also wardrobe. She was such a nice person she made it easy for us to conversant with her. She also told us that it is pretty hard to have social life with this job she said that she hasn’t been home in over for Christmas in over 10 years. She said that her day starts at 2am and she goes to sleep around 7-8 every night. She also told us that we needed to be very dedicated to this job. This was a special treat for us and I am very glad she came to our class. After a few Q & A with Virginia we went over to the TV studio where Beth got to interview Virginia. Beth did an amazing job and Virginia seemed like she was easy to interview. The interview went really well and she was very easy to talk to. After the interview I did my voice over for our package we did in class. I was pretty nervous about this and stumbled a few times. I had to do like 6 takes but hopefully it turns out well. I enjoyed this class yet again today! Thanks Jill!
