KSDK

Haley Buckner

Last Night January 9, I tuned it to watch channel 5 KSDK news station. The first thing that I noticed was the colors more dark colors the blues and black of the studio. The anchors doing this newscast were Mike Bush and Kay Quinn. Mike Bush was wearing a grey suit with a blue tie. Kay Quinn was wearing a black suit and a green blouse underneath it.

The first reporters that I saw in the first ten minutes were Rebecca WA and she was wearing a grey suit. She was reporting from the recent burglary in St. Charles. A mother and Son were at home when a black male entered their home the son yelled “How is in my house?” and the bugler ran out of the house. St. Charles police found this suspect named Shawn Williams and shot him the other suspect with him Jack Field was arrested. The live shots took place on the streets and convient store on Droste Rd. and in front of the victim’s home.

The Second story was the I-64 story this took place at the Transportation Management Center. Reporting was Cathleen England. They talked about the accident on Ballas Rd. which involved a pedestrian. Cathleen says to use caution on these roads. The live shot took place on Ballas Rd. They also talked about the survey MoDot has online now to see the reactions of the people and what they think about the highway closings, Tom Blair who works for MoDot says to avoid these roads from 7 A.M to 7:30 A.M.

The third story was about a man who was found dead in a house fire. The neighbors tried to fight the flames with a house fire extinguisher but the flames were too strong.

After that top story it went into the story about Megan Meyers. Her mother was on the Today show talking about this tragic story and how California investigators were going to investigate this story because Myspace originated in California.

All in all I would tune into news channel KSDK because I found it very informing news.
